Our Rare Story: ICORD 2017 Calls for Patient Speakers-Rare 'N Roll

The International Conference on Rare Diseases & Orphan Drugs (ICORD) ?is going to be held in Beijing from September 7 to 10, 2017. As part of ICORD 2017 program, Our Rare Story session will feature 6 keynote patient speakers and a panel discussion to follow.

We hope to seek globally for rare disease patient speakers that are interested in presenting at this ?session.

A rare disease patient;

With diverse experience and stories to speak out;

Fluent in English.

ICORD, the Chinese Organization?for Rare Diseases (CORD) and?Peking Union Medical College Hospital (PUMCH),?three non-profit entities,?co-organise the 12th Annual?ICORD?Meeting with Rare Diseases International (RDI) as an international partner.?The meeting will take?place together with?the 6th China Rare Disease Summit and will be held 7-10 September 2017 in the fascinating and historical city of Beijing, China.?ICORD warmly welcomes you to Beijing and hope you will join us for this event aimed for everyone in the field?of rare diseases, in China and around the world.

ICORD 2017 will be organised together with?Chinese Organization for Rare Diseases and the Peking Union Medical College Hospital. The organisation committee is constituted by knowledgeable and experienced persons in the field of rare diseases?who contribute to a?multifaceted and interesting programme for all stakeholders.?Rare Diseases International supports in the development of the conference programme.

Everyone with an interest in rare diseases is welcome to attend and contribute to the ICORD annual meeting. ICORD is an International Society for all individuals active in rare diseases and/or orphan drugs, including health care, research, academic, industry, patients, patient groups, regulatory authorities, health authorities, and public policy professionals.

The programme of the 2017 ICORD annual meeting is currently under development. It will include sessions of importance to all stakeholders within the rare disease field, such as rare disease policies, patient registries, clinical care, diagnostics, orphan drug access, research and precision medicine, global collaboration and quality of life. In addition there will be a poster session, which offers an opportunity for the conference delegates to meet and discuss matters of importance with other delegates with similar interests.

Conference programme overview

ICORD welcomes submissions of abstracts in the field of rare diseases and orphan products. Accepted abstracts are eligible for poster presentation. Part of the submissions will be selected for oral presentations. Submit your abstract at the conference website.?Abstract deadline is 28?May.

Please note that all foreign nationals need visas to enter China. Upon completion on meeting registration non-Chinese registrants will receive an invitation letter from the local organisers for visa application.
